Like applesauce, but with pears.
4 ripe Bartlett Pears, peeled, cored and cut into 1 inch cubes
3/4 Cup Pear Nectar
1. Place pears and nectar in a heavy mediu saucepan. Bring to a simmer. Cover and simmer for 35 - 45 minutes.
2. Mash the pears with a potato masher. Cook uncovered for 30 minutes. Stir often toward the end of cooking. Let cool and scrape into a jar.
Goes well with whole wheat toast.
