Day 8 Drop Biscuits



Drop Biscuits

Biscuit/Pancake Mix

4 Cups All Purpose Flour
3 Tablespoon Ground Flax Seeds
3 Tablespoons Sugar
2 Tablespoons Baking Powder
1/2 Teaspoon Sea Salt

Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and stir well to combine.  Store in an airtight container for up to 6 months,

Drop Biscuits

2 Cups Biscuit Mix
1/3 Cup Earth Balance
3/4 Hemp Milk
1 Teaspoon Apple Cider Vinegar

1.  Preheat the oven to 400°. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.  Put the mix and butter in a medium bowl, and using a pastry cutter work the butter into the flour so that it resembles corn meal.  If you do not have a pastry cutter, you can use a fork, but it will take a lot longer.

2. Mix the milk and vinegar.  Form a well in the center of the mix and pour in the liquids.  Using a spoon, stir to combine.  The mix does not need to be smooth.

3.  Using a spoon, drop lumps onto the baking sheet.  You should have 12 biscuits.

4. Bake about 15 minutes until lightly golden.
